As a Project Manager within the SalesPad Custom Development team, you are responsible for the successful kickoff, closeout, and overall management of our projects. Alongside the rest of the Custom Development team, the work you do will directly impact the delivery of 

effective, customer-focused solutions that drive a measurable return on investment for our customers. Our customers will rely on you to keep them informed, responsible, accountable, and consulted throughout the course of the project. You will work to ensure that our development and consulting efforts are completed on schedule while minimizing unexpected challenges, changes, and managing risk. You'll need excellent communication and prioritization skills combined with a clear focus on providing a high-quality customer experience. We depend on your ability to be self-directed while still providing excellent service to our customers. 

What You'll Do 

  • Lead customers, stakeholders, individuals, and teams in supporting project scoping activities to identify, gather and analyze requirements, understand business challenges, define key business drivers, and define an effective and innovative solution 
  • As a Project Manager you will rely on a number of approaches or methodologies to best execute and manage tasks outlined within the project plan. These can range from Agile (Scrum, XP), Kanban, or a combination of each 
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and management of end-to-end project life cycle: Effort estimation, scope management, planning, monitoring and reporting of project execution (risks management, budget, timeline, etc) 
  • Effectively handle large single projects or multiple concurrent smaller projects Execute project resourcing tasks including forecasting, time management, and invoicing in a timely fashion 
  • Communicate project details to clients, partners, and internal teams/departments Hold yourself accountable for ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard of quality and success - as determined by our customers
  • Encourage customer-focused and results-driven approaches to help customers reach their desired outcomes 
  • Actively participate in improving and refining project management practices The following five project stages help illustrate the steps and functions of a Project Manager:

What You'll Need to Succeed 

  • Strong foundational project management skills delivering enterprise solutions for small to medium-sized businesses 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in presenting technical issues to both experienced and inexperienced audiences 
  • Experience in delivering projects using an Agile methodology 
  • Extraordinary problem-solver and skills in risk management, prioritization, and outstanding communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) to Executive levels within a customers organization 
  • Ability to effectively manage teams and resources 
  • Experience proactively managing time and schedules 
  • Professional project management qualifications 
  • A business consulting background is not required but is encouraged Ability to work with remote teams (internal teams, customers, and partners) across time zones 
  • Willingness to travel 10-20% of scheduled work time 

Requirements 

  • BS/BA degree (or equivalent experience) 
  • 5+ years experience successfully managing software or technology-related projects Project Management Professional (PMP) 
  • Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
