SalesPad is seeking a Sales Engineer to serve as a technical resource for its sales team, helping to align both new, as well as existing clients, with software solutions to meet their complex business needs.  This role will work closely with sales representatives, engaging with prospects to identify specific requirements, along with pain points that would be addressed with SalesPad products.  After discovery, the Sales Engineer would be responsible for interpreting requirements in order to build a specific proof of concept environment to present to the client.  Messaging for each technical product demo would be tailored to best connect with specific audiences, including both C-level, and end user alike.  A successful candidate would exhibit a combination of technical abilities, an understanding of business best practices, as well as strong interpersonal skills.


As a Sales Engineer, the typical day includes:


  • Conducting discovery calls with both prospective and current clients to determine scope and technical requirements for ERP software projects.
  •  Properly aligning technical requirements with product modules to account for required use cases.
  • Coordinating with Business Analysts to facilitate the creation of custom SOWs if custom requirements are discovered.
  •  Effectively demonstrating the product, and how it solves specific pain points, both in person and through webinar services such as Zoom Meeting.
  • Tailoring demo messaging to specific audiences such as C-level and end users alike.
  • Preparing written documentation for implementation staff, outlining project scope and proof of concept setup and configurations discussed during pre-sales.
  •  Serving as a technical resource to answer any questions at any point in the project lifecycle, including Pre-Sales, Implementation, and Go Live.


This is the job for you if:


  • You have a 4 year degree in Business Administration or related field
  • You have excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • You are familiar with webinar services such as Zoom Meeting
  • You have experience with CRM tools and pipeline management
  • You have Sage Intacct or MS Dynamics GP experience
